I don't suppose we'll hear the mayor of Boston say he wants to keep Muslim-owned businesses out of the city, but if he were logically consistent, he would have to do so.
We have truly entered an era when political leaders are unashamedly persecuting Christians for their beliefs.

The mayor of Boston is vowing to block Chick-fil-A from opening a restaurant in the city after the company's president spoke out publicly against gay marriage.
Mayor Thomas Menino told the Boston Herald on Thursday that he doesn't want a business in the city "that discriminates against a population."
Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy told the Baptist Press this week that his privately owned company is "guilty as charged" in support of what he called the biblical definition of the family.
The fast-food chicken sandwich chain later said that it strives to "treat every person with honor, dignity and respect -- regardless of their belief, race, creed, sexual orientation or gender."
Atlanta-based Chick-fil-A has more than 1,600 stores nationwide but just two in Massachusetts, both located in suburban malls.

I find it highly unlikely that this comment will get through, but I will try anyway. When a group speaks out, saying "People must be put into fenced enclosures and permitted to die" or "The government should kill this specific group"...it is hate speech. It is the same things that are said to justify the killings of any group any where. These are things that were said by Evangelical ministers, regarding the LGBT community. I have many Christian friends, who abhor what has been said, and they are becoming frustrated with me for saying..."But where is the protest against this speech" Why is the Christian community not admonishing the Westboro Baptist Church...and other ministers of Christianity for calling for the exectuion of LBGT people. It is not discrimination against Christianity. It is discrimination against a hate group.If Christianity wants this to stop, then it must police it's own. I'm not asking anyone to accept LGBT lifestyles. I am asking Christians who truly believe Christ wouldn't speak like this, tell other Christians to also. Hate the sin but not the sinner...and certainly do not advocate the death of the sinner. I believe that was a very clear message by Jesus. The day I see Christians en masse, protesting hate speech..I will give my life over to Jesus, and remain celibate all my days. Because as far as I can see and hear, the message of Christians is hatred. Prove me wrong, because I'll take a sodomite over some one advocating government sponsored
murder any day.
Jason, I agree with you that Christians need to police their own. I have never dignified the the Westboro crackpots by giving them any space on my blog. However, I have denounced them in other venues and have three times been on the receiving end of their demonstrations. There are numerous other websites and blogs that have exposed them, so I think that is covered.
I am opposed to discrimination against LBGT people, but what we have in Boston is a mayor who wants to ban a business that has never discriminated against anyone (gay or otherwise) in not serving them or employing them. No crime or act of discrimination has been committed here. One of the owners simply said in response to a question in an interview that he supports traditional families. If anyone is guilty of discrimination it is the mayor of Boston, and this kind of politically correct discrimination against Christians seems to be increasing and going completely unchallenged by the so called mainstream media.
